We have a range of clients around the UK and provide a range of services specific to each client, depending on their requirements. |
Our clients are mostly UK-based, and include occupational pension schemes, university endowment funds, trade unions and charities. Where we act as investment advisor to part or all of a company’s pension schemes, this covers principally performance monitoring, the Statement of Investment Principles, strategy advice and Trustee Training, with other services as required. We have just over £2bn of assets under advice. |
We provide Trustee Training workshops for various clients - the largest of these had assets of around £700m. Thus far, topics have included strategy issues, the Myners principles, alternative investments (including High Yield Debt, Property Fund-of-Funds and Hedge Funds) and FRS 17. We also provide second opinion services to scheme Investment Committees (or equivalent) on strategy and manager selection advice given by the core Investment Consultant. We can also provide independent reviews (either after the event or before implementation) for the efficiency and completeness of consultants’ work in other areas such as in specie asset transfers. |
We provide guidance to various Solicitors, IFAs and Consulting Actuaries on investment aspects for pension schemes and charities served by these clients, including support during scheme wind-ups, and for two of these in their capacity as an OPRA Trustee. |
